So it was 4 hours to the big (”windy”) city, It was a lot of fun. We (Pete Bishop, Jason Ely, Zach Gallardo and Me) hit the Apple Store (glass stairs rock) so that was cool. The seminar was in a hotel. They had a few booths from some companies in the biz; such as: Panasonic (with their P2s), AJA, BlackMagic Designs, Canon, and JVC. ZaK and I did not miss the opportunity to hit up with some swag. Must I explain? So about the actual Seminar. They covered almost all of the programs in Final Cut Studio. The technology is just amazing. I can’t wait to incorporate Studio into my productions. Apples new Color app, for well, color… …Well it is amazing. Color grading is so awesome through Apple. Every little thing where you think, “You can’t do that, thats the way is is…” Apple redefined. Such as selecting a sound on the waveform and deleting it… It is just so cool.
Final Cut Server was also discussed at the event. We at the church tech team are pretty fired up to get it and slide it into our workflow. Offline editing, off location… And w/ 3gb/sec I hear: Network Editing…
So the future is looking good for post-production…
